SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Pikes Peak Catamounts Hockey (PPCH) operates as a fully non-profit organization to help grow the game of hockey for young athletes. Pikes Peak Catamounts Hockey has established a financial assistance program to help families who have been confronted with unforeseen economic hardship. The Scholarship Program is funded from donations and fundraising and is not funded through season fees paid by members. Therefore, Scholarship amounts will vary each season based on available funding accumulated from the prior season. An application must be completed in full and submitted by the deadline along with meeting eligibility requirements to be considered. Applying does not guarantee an award. Any funds awarded will automatically be applied to season fees and cannot be applied towards other expenses. If for some reason your player does not complete the season to its conclusion, scholarship funds mut be repaid to PPCH.

Eligibility: Our financial assistance program is a needs-based program. To qualify your player must be registered for the upcoming season and have paid the registration deposit as well as being current on all past PPCH dues. Players must be in good standing with CAHA and USA Hockey and committed to participating for the entire season.

Application Process: Families are asked to provide a brief explanation of their financial situation and needs. Each application will be reviewed by the Executive Board and kept confidential.

Organization Expectations: As a non-profit we rely on volunteers to run our organization. For applicants awarded financial assistance, there is an increased expectation for these families to volunteer to support various Pikes Peak Catamount events.

Application Deadline: All applications and supporting documents must be submitted by August 31st of the current season to be eligible for review by the Executive Board. Once reviewed recipients will be notified via email of eligibility and any funds awarded.
